A concrete contribution to the bio-fireplace.

Concrete becomes a material that more and more often “descends” from the walls and façade to be able to exist in other, interesting forms. This time, the project envisaged the implementation of a monolithic cast, with a rather complicated shape, constituting a technical and aesthetic housing, fireplace hearth. The difficulty was the fact that the element is light, thin-walled – the wall thickness is only 2 cm. We achieved the task thanks to knowledge about concrete and experience. The design solution itself required the use of glass fibers, it should be remembered that other fibers may undergo “dissolution” or corrosion at high temperatures.
